This week in social media: Please don’t break the law and boast about it on social media!

Happy Friday everyone!

From the Department of Things I Really Wish I Didn’t Have to Say: please, please, please don’t ever drink and drive. Like, ever. Doing so risks your life and the lives of others. However, if you absolutely positively have to, don’t brag about it on social media!!!

A study done in the UK says up to 1/3rd of children have been victims of cyber bullying. Getting bullied in school was tough enough for most of us; in the social media age, the harassment is now 24/7/365 and is a big problem. Please be aware if your child is being cyber bullied and do something about it.

Here’s something interesting: Seton Hall University basketball players are voluntarily banning themselves from social media starting the end of October. Hopefully this will allow them to focus on the game and not what others are saying about them.

Finally, a little schadenfreude for you, involving a fake beekeeper, and elevator and some sadistic pranksters.

Have a great weekend!
